The government encourages employers to have California Group Health Insurance for its employees and receive credit for this good deed. If the firm is not paying to California Health Insurance then the government will expect the company to pay a fee to the government. Normally, employees benefit from group insurance schemes because they might face health problems all of a sudden and they may not have sufficient money as they have just bought a new house or a new big car. Moreover, they may not get insurance cover for their families from the workplace and hence have to pay a premium for their families cover for medical expanses.
